From time immemorial the society has been strangling her voice. She still is suffocating, unable to bear the beastly power society exerts on her. Times change, scenario change, yet she still stands with her hands tied, head bent. Be it a public space or her own private space, she is conditioned to look ‘within’. Being incarcerated for ages, her gaze ‘within’ starts with ‘caring’ for her family, ‘supporting’ the men around her, and letting the macho system gain advantage of her doubts and vulnerabilities.

To break the shackles, all she needs is s sense of freedom and a tiny little ‘space’ that she can call her own, where she can be her own self. This ‘space’- Her Stories, is a safe space for every woman out there to be herself, to talk, to listen, to learn, to reflect, to hold on to each other, to nourish the famished, to grow, and to march ahead hand in hand in sisterhood. Let’s question the biggest myth out there- ‘no two women can agree on a thing’. His-tory always speaks of him. It is never about her. Isn’t it time to change the narrative?

We need to shatter glass ceilings, smash the patriarchy, and debunk conventions. We the women must look ‘outward’- at the society. We are part of this big family that carefully disengages from us. We have to constantly negotiate with the system and achieve success. Success is not monetary- not our sedans, townhouses, and multiple cards. Success lies in what we leave behind to our little ones as we go. A world with liberty, equality, and fraternity would be the target. So people, are we good to listen and talk our stories- Her Stories?
