Answers are always meant to be shared at the end, aren’t they? But here you go!

Would you believe me if I say there is a power with you that can tackle every obstacle you face? Do you know the ability to handle any kind of situation will not be achieved with the help of any other person, rather than you? Also with the fact that all these can be done by doing nothing?

Yes, there is nothing that needs to be done and you can attain all of them with just your reactions.

Most of the time, most of us react to incidents more than what they deserve. That’s where we lose. There is a story which I read long back and I felt it suits well for what I have started to write.

Once there lived a gigantic monster in a forest and he attacked the animals for food every now and then. He heard the news about a feast which was about to start in the next few days and he got very excited that there would be a lot of people attending it. He decided to fly to that place and eat the people there.

He started his journey thinking happily about how he was going to enjoy eating them. He flew in between the clouds, saw a flock of birds flying back to their nest, and cherished his way to the feast. As he was passing by the trees, he felt someone dragging him down. The monster was not able to fly further and tumbled down.

He looked around and found a saint sitting below a tree. He went straight to the saint and asked, ” Did you pull me down?”
“Yes, where are you heading to?”, the saint questioned.
The monster told the saint about the feast and his plan to eat the people.
The saint was not ready to let the monster eat the people. He understood that it was not easy to convince the Monster, who was determined to eat them.

So, the saint decided to leave him with a condition that the monster was not supposed to eat more than 1000 people in the feast. The Monster who stayed far away from the people for so many years accepted the saint’s condition and moved forward with the same happiness.

By the end of the day, the monster was returning back to the forest. He saw the Saint who was displeased by the monster’s behavior.
He pulled the monster down and enquired about the feast.
” Did you follow the condition I gave you?”, asked the saint.
” Yes!”, said the monster with much satisfaction.
” Do not lie! There were ten thousand people who died in the feast”, said the dismayed saint.
The Monster was silent for a while. He was unable to face the saint.
” I kept my word. I ate only 1000 people as you said. All the others in the feast died out of fear, I didn’t even go near them”, disclosed the monster.

Yes. Do not let your reactions rule you.
Ending this with the legendary Bharathiyaar’s words,
Fear not! (அச்சம் தவிர்)
