Most of the time we search for happiness outside of us. On the contrary, happiness lies within one’s self. It is the state of mind where you feel contented, pleasant, and blissful. When you are happy you feel more confident, you tend to make better decisions, and you are filled with inner peace. When you are happy, people around you feel more comfortable and there’s a cordial relationship within the family members.
Being happy is a choice you make, the key to happiness is very simple to be exercised if we identify them…
Count your blessings
Nothing boosts your spirit than having a grateful heart. The expression of gratitude is the result of contentment. Wake up each day with a thankful heart that will instantly light up your energy. Be thankful for your family, the house you live in, the work you do, and the wonderful set of friends you are blessed with.
“You” are Awesome
Everyone is unique. Most of the things you do, cannot be done by others. Start appreciating yourself for what you are. Think of the ways you handle your daily chores, bet you, no one else can do it the way you do it. Keep reminding yourself that you are a wonderful creation of God.
Be Positive
Positive thinking is very important in our mental well-being. It eliminates negative thoughts, which will make you feel less stressed out. A positive attitude helps you to cope up with daily affairs more easily. Remember you hold the key to your attitude. Create a library of positive thoughts, use more positive words, try to search for positive things even when things go wrong. Take each challenge as a stepping stone. Start your day with one simple positive thought that will actually make your day.
Have a Goal
Having a meaningful goal is one of the ways to keep yourself joyful. One is a long-term goal and the other is a short-term goal. This keeps your mind occupied. You feel elated when you achieve the goals and your mind is more focused on the things to do, rather than the things which did not fall in place. The goal has to be fixed in such a way that it should be realistic, achievable, and action-oriented.
Time for loved ones
Take time to spend time with your family and friends. Involve in meaningful conversations with people you are comfortable with. Now that most of us are confined within our homes, we can spare quality time with our family members. Cooking, cleaning, and planning for the next meal could be done involving everyone at home. This will create a healthy environment within the family.
Plan a virtual call with your extended family and your old friends, laugh louder, crack simple jokes, try new dishes, go for a walk near your home, play some indoor games, or simply do something silly. This applies to women of all ages.
Women… choose to be happy and, choose to be healthy. It’s your choice that will make a lot of difference in your life and in the family. Happiness is contagious, it only takes a spark to get a fire going. Spread it around you, shine on.
